A Long Weekend!

So monday is a holiday! Woohoo!! Its gouing to be along weekend for us all. But my family will be very busy this weekend, as we need to make some minor repairs in this rental house where we live in right now.

Since we will be moving at the end of September, its a must that we start fixing the damages that we inflicted on this rental house. Its just right to leave this house the way it was when we first moved in here. And our landlord has been nothing but good to us.

We can't help it. We are very excited to move to our own house. My step daughter plans to personalize the color of her bedroom with the color she likes, one thing that you can't do if you don't the house. You are not free to do things that you want because the house should stay as it is! Thats why we are so anxious to move to our new house! Woohoo!!

New File Extension Library

Heard of .3gp data format? The file extension .3gp is a relatively new format that represents the Third Generation Presence. It is utilized as a container format for multimedia files in general and video files in particular. The .3gp file extension is often times referred to as the simplified counterpart of the MP4 container format, which gained prominence with the introduction of the iPod entertainment consoles from Apple, Inc.

The .3gp file extension provides the user with a file that requires relatively reduced storage space and minimal bandwidth requisites. This makes it an ideal format for cellular phone technology.

Are you aware that there is a 94% chance that your computer has registry problems? Well worry no more. You no longer need to guess... this Free System Scan will give you a complete diagnosis and deep scan of your registry for Errors and Conflicts.

So learn more about this file extension 3gp by visiting their site now.

My Immigration Status

Finally, last friday, I received my Employment Authorization Card from the DHS (Department o Homeland Security). So now, I can really start looking for job here in the US.

So last tuesday, my beloved hubby accompanied me to the SSA office to apply for my SSN. The guy at window 2 jusy asked me for that EAD card and my passport then gave me a receipt. He then told me to wait for 20-30 days before they will send to me my SSN and the card. THe reason why it will take that long is because they will verify the documents I presented. If the documents are valid, they will release my SSN and if not, I will still receive the notice of disapproval by mail.

I am confident that I will have my SSN sooner, as I know the documents are legit. Once I receive the SSN, I can apply for driver's license and then can really go and apply for work. Can't wait for that, as I really want to work.

Weight Loss Site

I know how hard it is to lose weight. All my life, I struggled to really weigh less. But its just too hard. Plus you starve, depriving yourself of the foods you like, only to find out its no use.

Like me, you may have tried the Low Calorie Diet. Somehow this diet works, but for a short duration. You will lose a couple of pounds during the first few days, but soon your body will start starving for calories and completely shut down your metabolism (your fat burning engine.) After this happens, you will reach a dieting plateau and healthy weight loss will completely stop.

Ever tried a Low Carb Plan? This diet has proven to take effect, but its way too strict. Its next to starvation! And this robs your body of much needed energy leaving you feeling drained, tired, and sometimes depressed. Despite their mainstream popularity low carb diets are unhealthy, hard to follow, and leave you feeling drained.

How about the Low Fat Foods? They are not effective at all! Low fat diets alone are not enough to get rid of your growing belly and love handles.

Well, a better weight loss site is now here. Better than Weight Watchers or even the Jenny Craig diet. Its the Fat loss Guru! Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Diet are effective but they take forever to work. You usually loose 2-3 lbs per week with these programs. And these programs require special meal plans that you must have in order to succeed. But once you are off the program, you will no longer have these special meals and be left again to fend for yourself.

With the Fat Loss Guru, you eat more food & STILL lose weight!Keep enjoying the foods you love!Avoid low carb, calorie & fat diets that don’t work! With Fat Loss Guru, you will start losing up to 10 lbs every 7 days! Isn't that amazing? I will check out the Fat Loss Guru now. You do the same.

Back To School

Tomorrow will be the start of classes for my step children. They are both excited about it. Their classes will start 7:30am. My step son will be sophomore this year and my step daughter will be grade 7.

I also got my EAD card last friday. So hopefully I will have my SSN soon and driver's license and eventually get a job.

We had a bad experience over at Ralphs when we bought some beer for my husband. The thing is, I had the money in my pocket. So at the check out counter, after swiping all the stuffs, the cashier surprisingly asked for my ID. Its all because I have to prove that I am old enough to purchase an alcoholic beverage (baby face diay ko!??), at least 21.

But the thing is, I don't have my wallet and that means no ID.So my husband explained to her everything, that the money is his, that I am not a US Citizen, and that I am older than 21, etc. But its a big NO NO for the cashier. I have to present an ID to prove it. So she took the beer and made me pay for the other grocery stuffs.

My husband went back inside, got the beer and then had to fall in line again. He wasn't really pleased. But as the blondie cashier implied, its a State Law! duh!

Amos Tamam the Actor

Do you watch any foreign movies? You know, movies outside the US? Well, there are some fine story lines outside Hollywood, and also some real talent. For some of you who had watched Giborim Ktanim and Shalosh Ima'ot, perhaps you might have seen an up and coming actor, by the name of Amos Tamam. A TV Series by the title Srugim also starred him, as Amir. He also was in TV series Shir Shelanu, Ha, in 2004 as the role of Yariv Arad.

Amos Tamam was born on 6 September in 1977 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and is really making headway in the business. He's hardworking and good looking, too! Watch out for him in many years to come.

Auto Body Repair

Well, as you might know, I've been learning to drive since arriving in America, being taught by my husband, Tim. He is also teaching our 15 year old boy, Clason. As you can imagine, with two new drivers, accidents happen...one of us went too far into the garage and damage the front bumper and hood of our 2002 Honda Accord. Where will we take it for repairs? We are going to Collision Repair Experts. Why? Because there are many auto body repair shops to choose from, but few are expert collision repairers. We won't take a chance with our vehicle and safety, and you shouldn't either. Choose an EXPERT in auto body repair to return your vehicle to pre-accident condition! Judgement Day Tomorrow

This blog will turn 30 days tomorrow. I will register this blog to PPP with the hope that it will be approved. So the judgement day for this blog will start tomorrow. Is this blog good enough to qualify in PPP's opps? I hope...

My first blog, Love, in real Lifetime, was denied 2 times! Yes, you got it right. Because of being overly excited, I registered that to PPP even before it reached 30 days, with hopes that they will consider. Shame on me! How can I ever thought of them altering their rules! So anyhow, as what I have said, it was denied 2 times. So I learned how to wait patiently and when it reached 30 days, I again, for the 3rd time, registered it to PPP. Then they approved it.

The same excitement was with me all these days of waiting for this blog, The Best of Both Worlds, to turn a month old. Tomorrow, its turning a month. So I am hoping that PPP will approved this blog. Well see.

A Lazy Day

I should not be here sitting infront of the computer. The house is messy, 3 basketfull of laundry waiting for their turn in the washer, dirty dishes empty cans and bottles all over the place. So Why am I just sitting here?

I am so lazy today! I don't know why. I can't even sort out the laundry according to its texture and color. What is wrong with me? I feel sleepy but doesn't want to go to sleep. It will only give me headache. I just feel like sitting while doing nothing. I am not even blogging. I got 1 task but I am too lazy to even post it now. This is just not right.

Maybe I lack motivation, don't you agree? But what motivation? I can think of nothing. Maybe a cold shower huh? Hay buhay! I think I am bored! waaaaaaaaaa

The Lake Dixon

Just got back from fishing at Lake Dixon in Escondido City, about 30 minutes away from our place. We started casting our bait 6:30am at the shoreline and waited and waited and waited...

Then we decided to rent a motorboat so that we will have better chances of catching fishes. Then again cated our bait and waited and waited and waited...

We finally decided to stop fishing around 12 noon, zero catch. So hot, and no fishes biting our bait. But we see fishes. Only I think they are wiser! They don't bite on our bait. Gi briefing na sila nga pag kakaita gani mo ug pagkaon nga naay tali, ayaw kaon. hahaha

But it was still fun. The time spent as a family is priceless.

Early to Bed Early to Rise

I am calling this a day!! Too early huh? Well, we need to be up early, as we will go fishing tomorrow! woohoo!! My hubby is taking a day-off tomorrow and we will go fishing in a nearby lake.

What I find rather funny here is that, you need to have a fishing license to do so. As in you have to pay in order for you to have the permit to fish! Crazy huh? I am not used to it, as its completely new to me. Back in my hometown, Zamboanga City, you can fish till your heart's content. Not to forget the fact that you are assured of catching some fishes because of the abundance of fishes!!

So anyhow, thaqts the rule here. hahaha. in order for you to go fishing, you need to have the fishing license. Intawon! So we got the license today and we have the permit to fish tomorrow. And our day tomorrow will start at 5am. Wow!

So you understand why I need to go to bed early huh? Well, enough of the chitchat I am really going to bed now. Goodnight everybody!

Anticipating for a Mellow Sunday

We had the house in order yesterday, worked hard to make sure its clean. So now, we are anticipating for a mellow sunday, just having fun watching the Olympics on cable.

Right now, we are waiting for them to air the basketball game played by USA Dream Team vs China. I know the US won, but still I want to really watch the game. My guy, KOBE BRYANT, is there. How could I miss that? I am pretty excited for that. Added to the excitement is the fact that I am going to watch it with my husband beside me. How is that? PERFECT!

Anyhow, good morning to all of you. I overslept till 9:31am. Goodness! Lazy butt, but come on its sunday! Everybody is entitled to oversleep on a weekend. Wohoo!! SO see yah all and have a pleasant sunday. AJA!

You don't Mess with an Old Lady

Officer: Ma'am, you are overspeeding.
Older Woman: Oh I see.
Officer: Can I see your license please?
Older Woman: I'd give it to you but I don't have one.
Officer: Don't have one?
Older Woman: Lost it, 4 years ago for drunk driving.
Officer: I see...Can I see your vehicle registration papers please?
Older Woman: I can't do that.
Officer: Why not?
Older Woman: I stole this car.
Officer: Stole it?
Older Woman: Yes, and I killed and hacked up the owner.
Officer: You what?
Older Woman: His body parts are in plastic bags in the trunk if you want to see.

The Officer looks at the woman and slowly backs away to his car and calls for back up. Within 5 minutes police cars circle the car. A senior officer slowly approaches the car, clasping his half drawn gun.

Officer2: Ma'am, could you step out of our vehicle please!

The woman steps out.

Older Woman: Is there a problem Sir?
Officer2: One of my officers told me that you have stolen this car and murdered the owner.
Older Woman: Murdered the owner?
Officer2: Yes, could you please open the trunk of your car?

The woman opens the trunk, revealing nothing but an empty trunk.

Officer2: Is this your car, Ma'am?
Older Woman: Yes. Here are the registration papers.

The officer is quite stunned.

Officer2: One of my officers claims that you do not have a driving license.

The woman digs into his handbag and pulls out a clutch purse and hands it to the officer.
The officer examines the license. He looks quite puzzled.

Officer2: Thank you Ma'am, one of my officers told me you didn't have a license, that you stole this car, and that you murdered and hacked up the owner.
Older Woman: Bet the liar told you I was overspeeding too!!

Counting the Days...

I just lost the track of time. I can't believe my second home, The Best of Both Worlds, is turning a month old this August 15! Wow! Time indeed runs so fast that we barely notice it.

I am just excited for this blog to turn a month old and be able to take opportunities from payperpost. My blogging instructor, Ms Shela told me about making this a domain. Its advantageous. So I am considering it. Maybe before this blog can really grab opps, I will turn this into a domain. AJA!!

What Kind of Spiritual Boat Am I?

A Barge? ??
Always has to be pushed or shoved?'
I am very useful but I lack initiative?'
'I will clean the Hall only if I am asked.'

A Sailboat?
Requires good weather...'Am I a fair-weather publisher?'
A person who is present in favorable conditions, but disappears in undesirable circumstances?Unreliable & unpredictable?

A Canoe?
Am I easily upset and knocked off balance by the slightest incident?

A Battleship?
Do I stir up contentions and disturb the peace?

A Submarine?
Do I stay out of sight and only come to the surface for the Memorial and the Circuit Overseer visit?

A Raft?
Can I be easily lured away because I drift along with the tide and have no anchor?

A Pleasure Boat?
Am I unavailable for everything else except a good time and gatherings?

A Speed Boat?
Did I come into the organization fast, spending lots of time in the ministry and making all the meetings, but then gradually, I ran out of gas, started skipping meetings on a regular basis and slowing down in the ministry?

A Show Boat?
Do I have the newest and best of everything but I am shallow, spiritually speaking?

A Fishing Boat?
Do I always delight in the ministry?

A Tugboat?
Am I always working hard to help save as many lives as possible?

An Inflatable Boat?
Not the most expensive or the fanciest, but it's UNSINKABLE and it does the job.
Am I resolved to stay spiritually afloat no matter what?

Getting Impatient

Well, its been more than a month since we filed for my Adjustment of Status and Employment Authorization. And I am getting really impatient waiting for the approval.

Its basically taking an average of 3 months to get the Employment Authorization Approval and an average of 8 months to have the Adjustment of Status Approval. But some friends I know got the approval in less than the averages, so I am really anticipating to have the same case.

Hay buhay. I hope my work permit will be approved this month. Sana lang!

Tuesday Afternoon Accident

I was having a mellow tuesday afternoon when my husband called me from his shop at exactly 2pm. He wants me to get ready because he is coming home and I am going with him to the nearest hospital. I was just so worried.

So he was working with a car with oil leak problem. SO for him to really be able to figure out which part is leaking, he was cleaning the motor thing. Then the rug went into the motor while its running so he tried to get hold of the rug. His left middle finger and pointer got into the running motor and he was bleeding and bleeding.

So the thing is, he lost his poor left middle fingernail, the nailbed completely gone. And his pointer fingernail got smashed but still the nail there will grow again. Not with his poor left middle finger. My poor love. He was bledding yesterday that I was so worried. But the thing is, he got high pain tolerance that he was just calm and was still able to drive to the hospital.

So there goes my tuesday afternoon. My poor love getting the injury and I was so worried. But in the end, thank God he is fine and now he is at work. Although can't fully function with some bandages on his left hand, he really needs to work. The shop completely depends on him. Hope he is just fine...

A Busy Tuesday

Well, lot of things to do. First thing, house is a mess! Its a total disaster so I need to start cleaning the house once the kids leave for some party trooper thing.

Then I got laundry to do. But since I am really hardworking, I will do the laundy tomorrow!wahahaha

Then in the afternoon, I will go to the park with my husband. He will do his usually 10-mile run per day and I will do my usually 3-miles WALK! wahahaha. Walk lang intawon! Dili ka run. Hikaon!

So anyhow, I will be starting tuesday late. I woke up 7am and then went back to sleep when my hubby left for work. Then woke up and showered and ready for action! AJA!

Goodnight to All

Its been a mellow monday for me. But it was a good one, though never got to enjoy the day fully, as I was away from my husband the entire day. But what matters most is that at the end of the day, we get to spend some quiet evening together, wrapped in each other's arm and secured in each other's love. I love every single moment of it. Best things in life are indeed for free!!

Sweetdreams to all of us...
